I feel like shit today but I’ll still be swinging by. See you there Chicago.
Daniel Shea: Blisner Ill. Booksigning @ MoCP
Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Photography & Columbia College will host a reception tonight, October 4, for the release of Daniel Shea’s Blisner Ill.
Blisner, Ill. does not exist, but the abandoned factories, rusting bridges, and distant portraits are real. The book is a synthesis of photography, sculpture and historical document, to tell the familiar story of the fate of a Rust Belt town during the process of deindustrialization.
Order the book and see more from the series at danielshea.com.
